2025 PCAM Convention
Eurodam Cruise Ship October 5 - 9th, 2025
88th Annual PCAM Convention
Eurodam Cruise Ship October 5 - 9th, 2025
We're putting the SEA in PCAM (also the Pacific Coast) with this four-day magic cruise departing from Vancouver, BC and ending in San Diego, CA. This will be an affordably luxurious magic convention featuring amazing shows and lectures, with non-stop food, friends, and good times.
Four-Day Friendly Floating Frolic
Sitting by the pool, enjoying a freshly crafted hamburger, and jamming some new ideas for magic tricks... sounds dreamy! This could be you at PCAM 2025 on Holland America's Eurodam.
The PCAM Family Reunion
We've started calling our conventions family reunions as it is an annual gathering of friends. If you've only experienced the big hyped mega-conventions, this is a totally different vibe. Rather than just passing strangers in the corridors, in a smaller group you'll get to meet and come to know these fine folks over the days, making friends for life. This is the secret which makes PCAM one of the most welcoming conventions for first-timers. We only have one party, all week long, and everyone is invited.
Convention Talent
Our plan for this magical cruise is to set a more relaxed pace than many conventions. First, we are on a floating paradise and we'd be fools not to take time to enjoy the pools, the restaurants, the pickleball!
Second, we love the idea of getting to spend more time with our stars. We'll be focusing on a smaller cast of talented performers and lecturers so we get a chance to go deeper with our magical education. Not just from lectures and workshops, but to see a true working professional present their full real-world show is one of the best lessons you can get. (oh, and also very entertaining!)
Plan for the PCAM Contests
We love this opportunity for people to be active participants in the convention. PCAM runs general contests for both youth and adults to show their best stuff on stage, close-up and a number of other speciailized categories. If you're curious about competing, please take a look at the categories and rules on the Contest page.

Talent
Presenters
At the PCAM we aim to invite great magicians who are also great people. You'll be inspired by their shows and lectures, and get many chances to meet them around the convention.
Convention talent is subject to change.

James Cielen
Gold Medal Magic
James Cielen is one of only eight magicians to win the Gold Medal for Excellence in Stage Performance from the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Even better proof of excellence is the successful career which has followed, including what may be the longest-running contract in the history of cruise ship magicians. We’ll get to see James on his home turf, thrilling audiences in the 890-seat World Stage theatre, plus a PCAM-exclusive talk where we can learn from his experience.

Peter Samelson
"The soft-spoken conceptualist of sorcery" - New York Times
On a recent Fool Us performance, Penn praises Peter Samelson as “one of the greatest living magicians,” and Jamy Ian Swiss writes “I used to say that Peter Samelson is the most influential magician you’ve never heard of.” Except the secret is now out. From his groundbreaking publication Theatrical Close-Up to producing the longest running Off-Broadway Magic Show in New York City, he shows his commitment to performing magic as an artist. He’ll be teaching us, by example, what it means to experience magic.
-
Louie Foxx
“A Variety Artist in the the truest sense of the word" - M-U-M
Louie Foxx never stops. He never stops moving, on the road as one of the busiest entertainers in the Pacific Northwest, delighting audiences of kids, families, adults, and seniors in every town along the way. He never stops learning, as an avid collector gaining hands-on insight to the history of magic and magicians through long-lost props. He never stops creating, inventing wildly original tricks grounded in the practical needs of a working pro. Louie will inspire you to get your magic moving!

Daniel Garcia
“Every time I think I’ve come up with something brilliant, I run it by Garcia… and he quietly makes it 10x better.” - Justin Willman
Daniel Garcia is the secret ingredient to many of the most successful magicians in the world. David Blaine, Dynamo, Piff, and Justin Willman all bring their ideas to Daniel for his insight and imagination. Thousands more magicians around the world carry DG tricks in their daily repertoire. Cyril says “he brings both genius and generosity to the table, and makes everyone better just by being in the room.” We’re looking forward to inviting him into our room at PCAM.
